Long exposure photography is a technique that takes advantage of slow shutter speeds to capture light and movement and if used correctly can lead to amazing results. Long exposures are easiest to accomplish in low light conditions but the technique can be applied in brighter conditions too by using neutral density filters.
Slow shutter speeds can result in very interesting effects within the captured pictures, especially when the photographer captures moving light sources, such as car lights, which results in visible light trails and ghost objects. The technique can also be very useful to capture objects or scenes that aren’t bright or lit enough to be captured by normal shutter speeds.
But enough with the theory… what we have today is a collection of 21 amazing pictures captured with slow shutter speeds. Enjoy!
